How digital marketing has evolved throughout the years?

Digital marketing is considered to be one of the most important components of marketing in which the Internet and the various online based technologies are used. Examples of such Internet technologies are personal computers, mobile phones and other digital media platforms that help to promote a certain product and service.

Digital media marketing had been in development since the 1900s. But later on during the 2000s there was a vast change in the methods and techniques in which technology was used by the different business enterprises and brands as a source of promotion. With digital platforms getting incredibly popular among people businesses saw it as an opportunity to incorporate these in their regular marketing plans and strategies.

This is also because most people these days prefer using the products and services available in the online stores instead of visiting the shops physically. The concept of digital marketing is a combination of several different marketing concepts and theories like:

This incident turned out to be a breakthrough in the technological field . People now got a platform by which they can easily send and receive letters to someone from anywhere and at anytime. Eventually concepts like the Customer relationship management or CRM were considered to be a significant part of the marketing technology.

Another important concept that gained importance over time in Digital Marketing Service is that of lead generation. Most businesses nowadays consider it to be a vital part in the success of an enterprise . This is because lead generation allows a business to focus on its three important goals which are

  • Profitability of the business along with its products and services
  • Sales conversions
  • Meeting the target sales goals

In the concept of lead generation, lead basically refers to a person who has shown visible interest in the products and services of the business enterprise. If a lead is provided with all the necessary information that they need to know about the product , service or the company then they can be turned into potential future customers. Leads are generated through various methods like online content through blogs or posts, coups, live events in social media sites and more.
